The invitation

The Rift Valley is where Africa split open — and where it shows off.

In three unhurried days you cross soda lakes stained pink with flamingo, cliffs that steam from beneath, and islands where nothing hunts you — so you can walk. You travel privately: one vehicle, one guide, no strangers.

Nights are spent in a thatched stone cottage at Mbweha Camp on the edge of Soysambu Conservancy, where dinner is served under acacia and the only soundtrack is the bush.

Day by day

The journey

Into the Rift01

Cycling Through Hell's Gate02

Day Two

Breakfast at camp, then transfer to Hell's Gate National Park.

  • Morning

Guided cycling tour past Fischer's Tower and the towering red basalt walls, wildlife grazing beside the trail.

  • Midday

Visit a Maasai community: homesteads, beadwork, dance and honest conversation.

The farewell lunch

Carnivore, Nairobi

The safari ends the way Nairobi does it best — at the legendary Carnivore. Meats roasted Maasai-style over a vast charcoal pit and carved onto your plate on sword skewers until you lower the white flag on your table.
